Childcare Benefits for Employers
Offer Childcare as an Employee Benefit and receive 50% back as a tax credit
Partner with Discovery Preschools to reserve childcare spots for your employees and support the workforce that keeps your business running.
How It Works – Employers partner with Discovery Preschools to sponsor reserved childcare spots for their team.
- Option 1 – Employer reserves spots in advance – A company pays to hold a set number of childcare spots for employees who may need care.
- Option 2 – Employer contributes toward tuition – A company helps cover part or all of the tuition cost for eligible employees.
- Option 3 – Custom partnership model – We work with employers to build a structure that fits their budget, team size, and hiring needs.
What Employers Gain
- Better Recruitment – Childcare support helps your company stand out in a competitive hiring market.
- Stronger Retention – When employees have stable childcare, they are more likely to stay.
- Improved Attendance – Dependable care can reduce last minute absences and scheduling disruptions.
- More Support for Working Families – This is a meaningful benefit that directly impacts employees’ daily lives.
- A Benefit People Actually Use – Unlike perks that sound nice but go unused, childcare support solves a real problem.
Employer Childcare Tax Credit
Employers who help provide childcare may qualify for the federal 45F Employer-Provided Child Care Credit. Starting in the tax year 2026, the credit became more valuable.
What employers may get
- 40% credit on qualified childcare expenses
- 50% credit for an eligible small business
- 10% credit on qualified childcare resource and referral expenses
- Up to $500,000 per year, or $600,000 for an eligible small business
Important note – Eligibility depends on how the program is structured, so employers should confirm details with their CPA or tax advisor before moving forward.
